Advantages of Investment Casting

Over the years, Puladir Investment Casting Company has used investment casting process to produce hundreds of different parts for almost all sectors of industry. The investment casting process has the following main advantages:

Best of all, investment casting is typically more cost effective that traditional casting method's for parts with complex shapes. This is achieved due to the characteristics of close tolerance control and reduced machining allowances.

Using the advantages of investment casting in Puladir Company, we have been successful in production of hundreds of net-shape and near-net-shape superior quality precision parts.

 

 

 

Advantages of Foam-Casting

Foam-Casting is another method we are using to produce larger parts with complex shapes. Unlike investment casting, we use foam patterns instead of Wax. The foam patterns are easily glued together to form a tree. The ceramic shall molds in foam-casting needs less coating with respect to investment casting resulting less expansive casting parts.

In Puladir Company we use "replicast method" in which the foam in ceramic shell mold will be totally burned before casting. The technology has enabled us to produce many different heat-resistant and anti-corrosion casting parts for our customers; also, some low carbon alloy casting parts with better quality can be produced by this method.

The following are the advantages of replicast:

  1. The possibility of design and production of parts with complicated shapes with good dimensional tolerance DIN7168G.
  2. The possibility of producing parts with inside holes and slopes with no need to insert cores in the tooling.
  3. The easy cleaning of products because of very thin fin in partitioning line.
  4. The supporting sand will be 100% reclaimed.
  5. Improvement in environmental pollution. Chemical and sound pollutants are less.
  6. Easy assembly of foam patterns to form a unified part.
  7. The stability of chemical analysis because of complete burning of foam in the ceramic shell mold.
  8. Lower cost of material and therefore less expensive parts with respect to investment casting.
  9. Surface quality is moderate which will be much better than sand-casting.
